Red Hill Networks Added New Features to WebMux Load Balancer with Release 3.1

- Red Hill Networks, Inc, the price/performance leader in the Internet
traffic and availability management products, announced the release of
version 3.1 of the load balancer product lines WebMux LE, WebMux, and
WebMux Pro on March 7, 2000. WebMux is distributed through Tech Data.
The WebMux family of products balances the incoming traffic load and
increases availability. The new release brings the WebMux to the best
performance in the load balancer market, and yet remains the best
value from a breakthrough low price starting from $3,999. WebMux
product lines do not use hard drives and have built-in DoS protection
and NAT security features. Its Pro version can handle as much as
1000Mbps data transfer.
The WebMux load balancer tests network layers 3, 4, and 7 for fast
and accurate failover switching. The new release further enhances the
performance with new testing algorithm. It understands the following
protocols: DNS, FTP, HTTP, HTTPS, POP3, SMTP, Generic TCP, Generic UDP.
The device is compatible with Microsoft NT/Windows 2000, Linux, Solaris,
HP/UX, AS/400, HP/3000, AIX and any other OS using TCP/IP.
