Optional SSL Acceleration Card for WebMux and Firesafe
+ Introduction
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is a popular method for encrypting data transferred over the Internet and is
commonly used to provide secure transfer of credit card information and other sensitive data in
an e-commerce situation. SSL can also be used to create a virtual private networking (VPN)
tunnel, as well as facilitate SSL VPN, IPSec, and PPTP.
CAI Networks' CAI-RSA SSL acceleration cards provide enhanced performance for WebMux and
FireSafe installations that process significant SSL traffic.
CAI-RSA cards plug directly into the WebMux™ or FireSafe™, and may be installed as
factory upgrades or in the field to existing units.
+ High Performance
Build on top of an leading industry-standard SSL co-processor, the CAI-RSA3500 and CAI-RSA7000
can perform up to 3500 and 7000 TLS/SSL operations per second, respectively, using a 1024 bit key.
In actual internal tests, deducting the overhead of the SSL protocol, the CAI-RSA3500 can easily
enhance a WebMux590SG to 1200 SSL terminations per second (in both directions), while the
CAI-RSA-7000 can enhance a WebMux 590SG to 2400 round-trip SSL terminations per second. In
its PCI-X form factor, the CAI-RSA cards are capable of performing 64bit MP operations.
+ Environmental Friendly
CAI Networks cares about our environment: the CAI-RSA cards are built to meet EU RoHS compliance requirements.
+ Three Years of Technical Support Included
Each CAI-RSA card comes with three years of technical support without charge. During the first
three years after purchase, free advice and help with problems is provided at no cost. In addition,
the following options are offered:
- Free factory installation and pre-configuration
- 24x7 support
- On-site upgrade of an existing WebMux or FireSafe unit
+ Full Three Year Warranty
CAI-RSA cards are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of three
years from the date the card is received. During the warranty period, any defective cards
will be replaced at no charge. This warranty does not cover damage caused by accident or misuse,
or because of service or modification by other than an authorized CAI Networks service facility.
No other express warranty is given by CAI Networks, and CAI Networks shall not be responsible
for consequential damages.
